Our story
Couture Rochette was founded in 1995 by Carl Couture, Raynald Rochette, Gilles Pelletier, and Donald Leblanc, who had worked at one of the world's largest insurance companies for more than ten years. Their distinctly "Quebec" way of doing business led them to redefine what it means to be a local property and casualty insurance broker for Quebec's entrepreneurs.
Their goal was to provide Quebec businesses with access to the skills and know-how they acquired at the most respected insurance companies in the world and to build trusted relationships with them through unswerving dedication to customer satisfaction.
In July 2017, in order to expand its range of services and significantly increase its capacity to serve a rapidly growing clientele, the firm entered into a strategic alliance with Deslauriers & Associates. With a premium volume exceeding $100 million, the newly formed group quickly positioned itself among the three largest independent firms in Québec. In the fall of the same year, Renaud, a firm recognized for its expertise in the construction sector, joined the group.
At the same time, the progressive unification of these firms and this strategic alliance led to the creation of the Synex Group, which was officially established in 2020.
